Altitude Chamber

BIA Climatic Altitude Chamber

High-Altitude and Low-Pressure Environmental Testing

The BIA Climatic Altitude Chamber is designed to simulate low-pressure and high-altitude conditions for product reliability and environmental testing.

By combining temperature, humidity and pressure control, the chamber can reproduce demanding environmental conditions and help evaluate product performance under high-altitude and low-pressure environments.

The system is suitable for aerospace, automotive, EV, electronics, semiconductor, defence and industrial applications, from individual components to complete assemblies.

Key Features

Wide Pressure Simulation Range

The BIA Climatic Altitude Chamber provides precise pressure control from 1 Pa to atmospheric pressure, supporting applications ranging from high-altitude simulation to extreme low-pressure testing.

Temperature, Humidity & Pressure Combined Testing

Temperature, humidity and pressure can be controlled together to simulate complex environmental conditions. This allows you to evaluate product performance and reliability under combined environmental stresses.

Rapid Pressure Reduction

An optional auxiliary small test chamber can be connected to the main system to reduce the volume being evacuated. This enables faster pressure reduction and improves efficiency for rapid and transient low-pressure testing.

Special Temperature Control at Low Pressure

At very low pressure, reduced air convection can affect temperature uniformity. BIA can provide customised wall temperature control and infrared radiation heating to improve temperature control under low-pressure conditions.

Robust Pressure Chamber Design

The chamber is designed with a high-strength pressure-resistant structure and reliable sealing system to withstand repeated vacuum cycles and demanding temperature conditions.

Chamber dimensions, volume, interfaces and test ports can also be customised according to your application.

Applications

The BIA Climatic Altitude Chamber is suitable for:

  • Aerospace & Avionics – airborne equipment and electronic systems
  • Automotive & EV – batteries, power electronics and vehicle components
  • Electronics – electronic assemblies and components
  • Semiconductor – equipment and electronic systems
  • Defence – mission-critical equipment
  • Industrial Products – equipment designed for high-altitude operation

Typical tests include altitude simulation, low-pressure operation, thermal performance, electrical performance, sealing verification and combined environmental reliability testing.
